Our Malagousia is a delicate combination of taste and finesse, giving a complex and highly aromatic wine. On its label appears one of the rarest bird species in the world, the Kefaloudi (Oxyura leucocephala), with a population that does not exceed 13,000 worldwide. In Greece we only find it in Lake Vistonida, a rare bird, like our beloved Malagousia!
Grapes are picked by hand and carried in small baskets. Classic white vinification. Fermentation in stainless steel tanks and aging for 2 months in tank. It matures on fine lees for 4 months.
It is now comfortably drunk at 8℃, but you can keep it for 2-3 years in your cellar and taste its evolution.
Pairs beautifully with shellfish and seafood, light vegetable tarts, grilled dishes and tempura.
