The name Emilia has 2 reasons. Because Emilia in ancient Greek means “sweet” and because Emilia is my sister’s name. The vineyard is dry and one of the winery’s oldest.
An extremely concentrated wine, with excellent structure and acidity that helps the sweetness to come into full harmony. Grapes ripening for 8 days and aging in oak barrels for 10 years.
You can drink it now at 8-10℃, but you can also keep it for another 20 years in the bottle.
It goes well with orange pies, syrupy type sweets like baklava, dark chocolate, dried fruit, ice cream, as well as with blue cheese.
