Robust with exotic notes and incredible harmony of taste.

The initial challenge was the marriage of the fruity and at the same time full of minerals Assyrtikos of Drama with the exotic variety of Gewurztraminer. The fermentation and development in the oak barrels justified the thought and deified the result!

Harvest is done on the same day for both households. Assyrtiko and Gewurztraminer are vinified together at controlled temperatures, while part of the alcoholic fermentation and maturation/maturation takes place in oak barrels, where periodic stirring of the lees continues for 6 months.

Drinks now at 12C, but better to leave it for 2 to 3 years in the cellar, even 10!

Goes extremely well with avocado and prawns, oysters, grilled fish, lamb fricassee.

Aromatic, refreshing and crunchy.

The wine that bears the name of the Papargyriou family is a unique blend of Moschoudi (small Moschato Rio) and Assyrtiko, from our vineyard in Sofiana Corinthia, at an altitude of 800 meters.

Consists of 70% Moschoudi and 30% Assyrtiko, manual harvest. Fermentation in stainless steel tanks with native yeasts at a controlled temperature of 16-17 degrees.

Fresh it is particularly fruity and floral, but with aging (up to 15 years) it acquires a more complex, botanical character.

It goes perfectly with grilled fish, but also with pasta with intense, fatty sauces.

Old vineyards and late harvest.

Nykteri is one of the most classic and historic labels in our portfolio. In the old days the winemakers of Santorini used to press the grapes during the night and that is where the name of the label came from. Today, based on legislation, in order to have the name of Nykteri on our label, there are two mandatory actions that we need to follow. The alcohol content must be 13.5% or more and the wine must stay in barrel for at least 3 months. As for our Nykteri, it is one of the first three labels released by Artemis Karamolegos Winery in 2004. The grapes come from old vineyards with an average age of 100 years and planted at an altitude of 350-400 meters from the vineyards of Pyrgos and Megalochori. A late harvest is followed according to tradition for enhanced body and rich aromatic potential.

Nykteri is a blend and consists of 90% Assyrtiko – 5% Athiri -5% Aidani. We receive only the forage and the fermentation takes place in large volume barrels with a small percentage of new wood. The wine is released from the barrels when it reaches the right balance and remains in the tank to homogenize. Total maturation for 16 months on lees and an additional 4 months in bottle.

It is served at 12-14°C and its aging potential exceeds 10 years.

It pairs perfectly with grilled salmon or pan-fried tuna and can stand up to dishes such as roast lamb and cooked duck. For vegetarians, try it with smoked eggplant salad and pita or pasta with tomato sauce and basil.

Released only in excellent harvests.

Ftelos is included in the Single Vineyards series. It is only released in exceptional vintages and the production of the bottles is limited. +Its name was inspired by the name of the vineyard located in the area of Fira very close to the caldera. It comes from old vineyards of Assyrtiko with an average age of 150 years and stands out with its intense saltiness due to its “anedossa”. With the term “anedossa” we describe the fog that is created mainly in the area of the caldera, due to the sudden temperature change from the volcano to the island. This phenomenon lends to both the intensity of the saltiness and the complexity of the fruit.

Our goal with the Single Vineyards series is to highlight the different expressions that the variety can take, per region of the island. For this reason, the winemaking approach we follow is mainly the same. We make small vinifications and use only small stainless tanks. In the case of Ftelos, it remains on the lees for a total of 2 years and then rests in the bottle for at least 1 year.

It is served at 11-13 °C after bottling and its aging potential exceeds 10 years.

Thanks to its delicate dimension, it is ideally combined with scallops, mussels steamed with yolk, dolmades stuffed with anchovies and salmon in a pistachio crust.

Robust, elegant, matured for 6 months in barrel.

6 refers to the 6 months of maturation in French oak barrels of second-hand use. A wine from the most famous Greek varieties: Assyrtiko (90%) from the Aegean islands and Xinomavro (10%) from Northern Greece. Non-irrigated organic vineyard with limestone and shale soils, in a south-facing coastal area with maximum exposure to the Aegean sun. Organic farming is practiced, while an innovative vine support system is used, where the grapes are suspended from a height of 1.8 meters above the ground and under a permanent canopy of foliage, with maximum ventilation.

Handmade vintage. The wine, after fermenting with the spontaneous native yeasts from the vineyard, is fermented and matured for 6 months in new and second-hand French oak barrels together with the fine lees. At the end, it is bottled unfiltered, to preserve all its quality characteristics.

You can drink it now at 13-14° C. However, if you leave it for at least 2-3 years in the cellar, it will definitely compensate you, while it can be aged up to 10 years!

Goes great with fatty large fish on the grill or in the oven. But it can accompany goat, white meats, but also pasta with intense, fatty white sauces.
